What I Do with Dofollow Blogs

Dofollow blogs/sites are popular among bloggers. I personally didn’t know about dofollow until about a month ago, despite the fact that I’ve started blogging since Sept’08 (with a free wordpress blog).  So now I routinely leave comment. My blog is still new, so have to strive to improve the ranks.

Dofollow blogs are useful to increase backlinks to our blog. It simply works when we leave comment and the post get indexed by search engine,  by which the url we leave will also get indexed. Thereby, our blogs become more and more searchable at search engines.  I call it “a ride”.  Since then, dofollow sounds like a best friend of bloggers like me. Here is what I usually do.

1. I usually start with searching dofollow lists at directories, or just open from list I’ve saved before.

2. Browse the blogs, then filter if there’s any post I can comment at.

3. If the post isn’t too long (> 500 words), I will read thoroughly. But if it is, I’ll just read some paragraphs or do screening.

4. Finding the points of the post is a must, so that I can comment well. When I can’t thing of any relevant thing to write, I’d skip that post/blog.

5. If I’m too lazy but really want a backlink, I’ll simply find posts in my field of knowledge and write about what I know. It will never be too short. At least that’s still participating and might be useful for other visitors.

My point is :  just don’t spam at (dofollow) blogs. We all have mutual interdependence. If we only want shortcuts, I believe the long-term result won’t be positive. Do things in right and ethical ways, we are improving our quality. Last but not least, image is vital to me.
