My Thesis Exam

I’ve been through my thesis exam on Monday, 8th June 2009. What a big day, what a big relief! It went smooth enough. It was around 30 minutes, of which 20 spent for presentation and the rest 10 for the oral test. I only got one question, and it was really an unexpected one. All the materials I’d learned since the two days before were not even touched. The question was about my period of research that only took three years. Firstly I tried to explain the background and consideration, particularly those related to former studies. But then I knew it was still my mistake. But no problem, lecturers just told me to state that shortage in “limitations of study”. And I passed the exam with grade as I wished.

I’m so happy, finally I can move to the next phase of life. Well, I was 99% sure about passing the exam. But whether I got A or B was a 50-50 chance since I didn’t prepare much until the two days before and I had delayed my thesis for one semester.  I owe this to the fact that it’s my own research. Also because I made it detailed, as my lecturer’s suggestion. I also owe this to luck. There were three lecturers in the exam room :

It’s hard to explain, but I felt lucky to be tested by this team. They are known as nice lecturers, for me it means they don’t give offensive comments or questions. Thanks to the team! And besides, I also want to thank you who already gave support in the exam :

To Bram, Mbak Vera, Wina,  Susan, Ervi, and Angel who came and waited until my exam was done. Your overseeing me through the glass window while I was trying to focus on my answer had caused me nervous, lol…! But thank you for all the wishes and spirit, I was happy that you were there to accompany me.  Then to Nana who kept wishing for my thesis from the beginning til the end, thank you so much… Good luck for yours. Thanks for being so nice to me.
