Like “Cinta Kita” by Slank
So days ago we were eating at Nasi Goreng Pak Gosong (Babarsari) and then these two guys came busking, singing this song which we have never heard of before. I listened to the lyrics while they sang. They sang together, combining light and heavy. The one with heavier voice didn’t seem to memorize the lyrics well, but still good overall. When they left, I asked Bram “is that a song they compose themselves?”, he answered “no”. Good to hear – that means I can find the song if I want to. I said “sounds like a nice song, isn’t it?”. He: “yah, sounds so”.
And then two nights ago he suddenly played the mp3 on his cell phone (kinda show off). He has apparently downloaded it, started with Googling the lyrics (because none of us knew the title or artist). I said I would Google it, but I forgot.. When he told it was Slank and Cinta Kita, it wasn’t unfamiliar to me. I guess I have come across the song when browsing for list of latest songs. I browse them at times to see if I actually have list-to-download but forget the titles. But since what I saw was Slank, first thought must be definitely not interested. I just somehow remember ever seeing the title and artist before. Now it turns out to be a song I can like in the first place.
So now it is in my computer. I’m listening several times. It will be in my playlist for an undetermined time. My playlist has mostly outdated songs because I tend to keep the same favorites for a long time. This will be fresh. Maybe it will be in the next karaoke session’s list too!
Part of the lyrics:
Jangan dengarkan orang bicara
Jangan ikuti orang mengarah
Mereka cuma sirik sama kita
Percuma omongan orang dipercaya
Percuma banyak mulut-mulut berbisa
Mereka hanya sirik dengan cinta
Oh cinta kita
Cinta kita tak kan terbelah
Walau banyak cerita cerita
Yang gak mengasyikan
Cinta kita tak kan terpecah
Walau penuh kisah dan kisah
Yang coba tuk menghancurkan kita
